Cape May has its own radio station! WCFA-LP 101.5 FM is a non-commercial low-power FM community radio station. The station is licensed to the Center For Community Arts, Inc., a nonprofit organization that sponsors multicultural arts, humanities and history programs for young people and adults. It has been broadcasting 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with an all-volunteer staff since first going on the air in November 28, 2006.

WCFA, which has its antenna located on the water tower in nearby Wildwood Crest. covers a 10-mile radius on the southern tip of New Jersey. The station's primary service area includes Cape May, West Cape May, The Wildwoods, and Villas, but it can be heard as far north as Avalon and Seven Mile Island. The station offers a variety music format with a focus on jazz. It also carries local public affairs programs, as well as shows on gardening and cooking. WCFA's on-air DJs play jazz, American roots, folk, themed programs, rock, classical, movie-music, and more. Talk shows cover the local restaurant scene, local artists and performers, local and national sports, life in and around the harbor, storytelling, local events and affairs.
On Friday, April 15th, at 1pm EST, I will be joining host, Mark Allen, who runs a weekly
show which mirrors the goal and content of his column in The Star and Wave Newspaper, both called “The Other Side.” The program focuses on the issues, news, topics, and people of Cape May’s “other side” which is to say, the harbor side of Cape May—where I live. We will be chatting about my novel, The Sound of Wings, which debuted May 4, 2021, and other aspects of my writing career. I am very much looking forward to hearing what questions Mark may have up his sleeve for me. (*If you have an Amazon Alexa in your house, you can ask her to play WCFA through Tune-In, or you can just go to the station’s website where there is a Listen Live button.)

Some other exciting news: On April 12th, my audiobook for The Sound of Wings will be
released on Audible through Blackstone Publishing. Fellow author and friend, Leslie
Rasmussen, will be releasing her audiobook the same day. We worked up this video promo to celebrate the occasion. Leslie’s book, After Happily Ever After, was named one of Pop Sugar’s Best of 2021. Her novel is set along the Connecticut coastline.
